Stacker 2 contains Caffeine and caffeine sources Kola Nut, Yerba Mate, and Green Tea. It also contains: Cassia Mimosoides Extract, a plant that may block the absorption of fat cells, thus preventing their caloric content from being released into the bloodstream; White Willow Bark, which has been shown to enhance caffeine’s thermogenic effects; Guggulsterone, which stimulates the thyroid, enhancing fat burning; and Gymnema, a plant that may help maintain healthy blood sugar levels.

Yerba Mate is a medicinal and cultural drink of ancient origins. Introduced to the world by the Guarani Indians of South America, it contains ingredients that are said to help keep its drinkers healthy and energetic. Made from the leaves of a small tree, Yerba Mate is grown in several countries in South America. It is generally used as a source of caffeine considered more healthful than that found in coffee. Along with caffeine, Mate also provides numerous vitamins, minerals and amino acids possibly making it more healthful than green tea.

On the plus side, Stacker 2 does contain Guggulsterone, which may pair very well with thermogenic ingredients. Nonetheless, those who prefer a stimulant–based fat burner may want to consider an additional supplement to help keep cravings in check.

Advantra-Z is another relative newcomer that has earned rave reviews for its fat burning capabilities. In spite of Stacker 2’s popularity in the past, it could be that this supplement’s time has come and gone.
