ErgoLean MC makes use of Guggulsterones, Selenomethionine, Olive Leaf Extract and Caffeine in its formulary. Let’s take a quick look at some of these ingredients.

Guggulsterones are in a material known as guggulipid, a derivative of resin from the Mukul Myrrh Tree in India. Guggulsterones (guggulipid) have been traditionalaly used in Ayurvedic medicine to treat ulcers, epilepsy, ulcers, rheumatoid arthritis, and atherosclerosis for centuries; use of Guggulsterones is also believed to decrease cholesterol synthesis in the liver.

Selenomethionine is an amino acid, which contains selenium, a trace material in both animals and humans. It is has an important role in antioxidant defense and in metabolizing energy. We believe further research needs to be conducted on this amino acid to see if it is available fat burner. Some research studies are in progress studying its effect on aging, heart disease, cancer, HIV, Arthritis and Alzheimer Disease.

ErgoLean MC is advertised as being a heavy weight “thermogenic diet formula”. However, we believe that it is really a very moderate formula, which can produce very subtle fat burning affects. As mentioned earlier, this formula uses Guggulsterones, Selenomethionine, Olive Leaf Extract and Caffeine in its formulary. While we were glad to see that this manufacturer fully disclosed its formulary, however we do not believe these ingredients are very effective fat burners.

Let’s take a look at Olive Leaf Extract, which plays a vital role in this formulary. Olive Leaf Extract is from a tree called the Olea Europaea, which has been traditionally used as an antibacterial and antiviral extract. It is also been used to help with chronic fungal infections. It is believed to be able to help with yeast and fungus infections, arthritis, herpes, skin conditions and bacterial infections, as well as other conditions. However, it has not been proven to help with fat burning or weight loss in anyway.

Caffeine is also used in this product, which is purported to have some metabolism boosting affects. However, it also has many side effects such as tremor, insomnia, anxiety and restlessness. Anyone, who is removing caffeine from their diet, might want to avoid this product.

It is advisable, in our opinion, that weight loss regiments address many factors in order to create sustained weight loss and muscle gain. Fat burners such as ErgoLean MC, can be a good addition to these plans. However, often other forms of supplementation are needed such as appetite suppressants. We believe this formula would have benefited from including a modern appetite suppressant, such as Hoodia, which has shown excellent results in helping create weight loss.

On the whole, modern research suggests that lifestyle changes and life long habits should be altered to help achieve weight loss. The addition of a healthy diet and a reasonable exercise program has been shown to help individuals achieve their weight loss goals. Nevertheless, please be advised that no supplement will solve the emotional issues associated with chronic over eating.

In general, we believe ErgoLean MC would be best suited for consumers looking for a mild fat burner. In our estimation, it would not be appropriate for those seeking a heavy duty intense fat burner. The ingredients used in this product have very little history of being capable fat burners, such as Olive Leaf Extract, which is a great antibacterial and antiviral herb, but it is definitely not a fat burning agent. We would have liked to have seen ErgoLean MC incorporate a modern appetite suppressant in its formulas such as Hoodia, which has shown excellent results in aids in weight loss plans.

Also, please be advised that this product contains caffeine, which has side effects associated with it for some, such as insomnia, tremors, anxiety and restlessness. Seek products which are caffeine free and offer free samples for you to evaluate.
