Sometimes dieting tools can expedite the dieting process, and there are many websites available, such as Diet Facts, which strive to provide dieters with these tools; although some features are clearly more effective in augmenting weight loss than others. Diet Facts was created by “Kelly” who made it her personal mission to provide consumers with nutritional information. This mission began in 1995 when her father was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes, a fairly serious condition, which can managed somewhat through certain dietary restrictions, which makes knowing what your eating very important.
Her father became rather frustrated trying to figure out what he could and could not eat when going out to eat, and hence this website was born. While this endeavor is rather noble, it does not necessarily mean that this webpage can be useful to the average dieter. Let’s take a look at it to see what it has to offer dieters.

This site provides users with nutritional information for a wide variety of foods; which can be extremely useful when dieting or if dealing with an illness such as diabetes.

Diet Facts is a rather well designed free website, which catalogs Nutrition Facts and information for hundreds of different restaurants. It utilizes an easy to use system in which all the restaurants listed are in alphabetical order, so all you have to do is click on the appropriate letter and scroll through the list. For instance, there are 155 listings under Dairy Queen, and the Blueberry CheeseQuake Blizzard is 1030 calories, which is very valuable to know if you’re on a diet. It also provides fat and sugar content and other nutritional facts for this dish.

Everyone has to make a living and this website is no different, so they also have a cyber store that sells - Bathroom Scales, Fitness Equipment, food Gifts, Food Scales, Handheld Devices, Kitchen, Software, Stress Relief, Supplements, Weight Loss, Yoga, Yoga Videos and Yoga Mats.
We were very interested to see what supplements they sell, and we were pleasantly surprised to see that the only supplement they sell is

They also have a have message board, which can be used to connect with others who are dealing with similar issues. This site may be worth a look if you are on a weight loss plan or following a special diet and are going to be eating out. However, the information by itself, of course will not create actual weight loss.
