Review
Summary |
Caigua is a dietary supplement that is purported to encourage weight loss and the reduction of “bad” cholesterol. This supplement is one of the many that the company Inti Products produces and is not their only weight loss formulation. In fact, this supplement is suggested to be used with other supplements for the best results. We find that simultaneous use of multiple dietary supplements can be both confusing and expensive, but fortunately there are complete weight loss formulations available in a single bottle made by other manufacturers.
As mentioned, Caigua is said to help people efficiently lose weight. This is just one of the many, many supplements available on the market. Consumers can become frustrated when searching for a new solution due to their many choices, and also since some of the products on the market do not perform as advertised. This is why we will take a closer look at this supplement’s formulation to determine that the contained ingredients will encourage weight loss as advertised.

Currently, the complete formula for this product is not published online, but may be posted on the product’s label. However, this does not help those consumers who wish to study a product before use in order to ensure quality and to avoid potential health risks and possible allergic reactions. We do want to note that most trustworthy manufacturers will proudly posts this information online for consumer review.
Furthermore, competition within the diet industry is fierce so we assume manufacturers would proudly display the contained ingredients. We do fear that the missing formulation online may reflect a lower quality product.

However, due to the name of the product we feel that it is safe to assume that this supplement contains the plant extract of Caigua. Though, we are unsure over what the exact dosage may be and if there are additional ingredients included in this formulation.
Caigua is a vine that grows small fruits that look similar to a cucumber. This plant is native to both South and Central America. The manufacturer of this product says that this plant will lower cholesterol and prevent cardiac diseases. They also maintain that it reduces fat, yet fail to explain why. Current research on this plant shows that it may have some health benefits but do not indicate that it is effective in provide weight loss.
Consumers interested in weight loss may be more comfortable using an ingredient that is actually proven to work. There is a South African herb called Hoodia Gordonii that has been shown to suppress the appetite and may help in reducing daily caloric intake, which is often a first step to weight loss. We do doubt this supplement offers this herb since the company would surely be bragging about its inclusion.

 | Diet Lifestyle |
|
This product is suggested to be taken 2-3 times per day with the meals, with enough liquid. Though, if it turns out this product contains caffeine it may be better to avoid late day doses since this could potentially affect sleeping patterns for some.
Also, since this product is said to work best with two other supplements it may turn out to be expensive to afford this weight management plan. Fortunately, it is not necessary to buy three separate weight loss supplements since, as mentioned, some diet products do contain a complete formulation.

 | Positives |
|
• Said to contain natural ingredients
• Moderately priced by itself
|
 | Negatives |
|
• Advertised to work best with additional dietary supplements
• Complete ingredient list is not provided online
• May not contain Hoodia Gordonii
• No free samples

 | Final Thoughts |
|
Ultimately, we do not recommend this product for several reasons. First, we never recommend a supplement that does not post an ingredient list and we also prefer when products are advertised to work efficiently on its own. We do know that the one known ingredient in this supplement is not proven to generate significant weight loss, and consumers may wish to research other options available on the market. Again, we do suggest finding a supplement that offers Hoodia Gordonii since it has been shown to reduce hunger and food cravings.
On its own Caigua is not expensive since a one-month supply sells for around $30. Though, since this supplement is said to work best when paired with two other products consumers may have a hard time affording this plan on a monthly basis.
