Bontril

Bontril is the brand name of a medication called Phendimetrazine. This drug was originally designed as a weight medication, but is similar in chemical composition to an amphetamine. The medicine, stimulates the central nervous system (nerves and brain), which then increases your heart rate and blood pressure. Because Bontril is habit forming, the drug is only used as a short-term supplement to exercise and diet. It is important to note that you can become physically and psychologically dependent on this medication, and withdrawal effects may occur when you stop taking it. Phendimetrazine tartrate, as the dextro isomer, has the chemical name of (+)-3,4-Dimethyl-2-phenylmorpholine Tartrate. The structural formula is as follows:



Phendimetrazine tartrate is a white, odorless powder with a bitter taste. It is soluble in water, methanol and ethanol.

Bontril Slow-Release capsules contain FD&C Yellow No. 6 as a color additive.

Phendimetrazine tartrate is a sympathomimetic amine with pharmacological activity similar to the prototype drugs of this class used in obesity, the amphetamines. Actions include central nervous system stimulation and elevation of blood pressure. Tachyphylaxis and tolerance have been demonstrated with all drugs of this class in which these phenomena have been looked for.

Drugs of this class used in obesity are commonly known as "anorectics" or "anorexigenics". It has not been established, however, that the action of such drugs in treating obesity is primarily one of appetite suppression. Other central nervous system actions or metabolic effects may be involved.

We have seen many online sites try to sell pharmaceuticals. Companies more and more it seems, believe that by simply suggesting that you follow their “procedure” that they can sell a product online. The way these sites go about business is often to recommend, that customers not take the new drug before they have a complete physical. Its focus is not on a combination of fat burning and appetite suppressing ingredients as are most effective products.
